  • STORYTELLER BARRY GRAY will visit Crawford Bay School, Tuesday, Feb 9
    Parents and community members are invited. Click here to learn more.
    Grade 2/3 class - 10:30am

    Storytelling Workshop - 3:30 to 5 pm.

  • HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF FUND. We will be gathering financial support for relief work in Haiti, and are looking at ways to join our efforts with other community groups. For more information, contact Dan Rude. There is a real need in Haiti for clothing, school suppies, and other basic necessities of life. Any donations of these items can be brought to the school. Go here to get a list of what is needed.

  • A ROCK CLIMBING CLUB has been formed by Ms. King, open to all students in Grades 4 to 12. First outing was on Friday! Please click here to see pictures and to find out more about it.

  • LUNCH PROGRAM. Did you know that Crawford Bay School serves students and community members one of the best and healthiest lunches on the planet? For more information, please contact the school at 250.227.9218.

  • Our Outdoor Education Adventures program participated with students from Cranbrook's Mount Baker High School for their winter adventure campout at Kootenay Pass (Salmo-Creston Summit) on January 7-8. (Photos here).

  • The School District Board held a public meeting here on January 12 regarding the disposition of the old school. They heard the Crawford Bay Hall and Parks Board's formal request to subdivide the land to allow the Crawford Bay Hall to remain and continue to serve the community. They assured us a decision will be made soon.

The Marimba Band entertain people as they arrive for the Fine Arts evening on January 29.

K-6 students were involved in an interactive Destination Imagination experience on January 7. We are looking to form teams to represent the Eastshore. Please contact Mr. Rude for more information. Here is some information from the website www.idodi.org:
