PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
We believe our school to be a warm,
caring place where we learn together in an
atmosphere of support and mutual respect. We
encourage parents to become involved in
classroom activities, special events and in our
Parent Advisory Council.
Working together, there is no problem we
cannot solve, and no goal we cannot achieve.
Rod Giles,
Principal

All About Us ...
Adam Robertson Elementary School is a K-7 school, with approximately 350 students at the present time. A.R.E.S. is part of School District #8 (Kootenay Lake). We are located in the town of Creston, BC. Creston itself has a population of about 4,000, but the surrounding communities bring that total to approximately 15,000 people. Creston is located in what is known as the Creston Valley in the East Kootenay region of British Columbia. The main industries in the area are agriculture and forestry, but the tourist industry is also very strong, with scenic Kootenay Lake close nearby. Hunting, fishing, golfing, hiking and snowmobiling are some of the recreational activities enjoyed by the residents in this photographer's paradise.
